On October 17, 2024, I connected with Aditya Kane on LinkedIn. After we connected, I explored his posts and found his personal blog, bombaypirate.com. I was really impressed with it, especially the photos section where he shares pictures from his camera roll.

Inspired by his blog and the photos, I decided to create a dedicated Photos section on my own blog. Over the weekend, on October 19, after finishing my tasks, I worked on building this section. You can check it out by clicking the Photos link in the header or here.

Back when I was active on YouTube from 2018 to 2020, I loved taking pictures and often posted them on Instagram. At that time, I became pretty good at editing in Adobe Lightroom. I’ve uploaded a few photos from that period until 2023.

However, from 2021 until now, I haven’t taken many photos due to my work with WebiSharp and my studies. I lost touch with photography and editing, but Aditya’s blog has reignited my passion for it.

On the Photos page, I’ve added the captured date at the top of each photo, along with the location and a Google Maps link as the caption. The photos are organized by year, and you can click on any image or its title to view a larger, high-resolution version.

In addition to this, I made some simple changes to the blog’s UI and overall UX to improve navigation and readability, making it easier for visitors to explore and enjoy the content.

I also made a few more updates. On October 18, 2024, I changed the domain from blog.hiabhaykulkarni.com to abhaykulkarni.com to give the blog a more personal touch. I’ve shared the story behind this change on the About page.

Additionally, I’ve added dedicated “About” and “Contact” pages so you can learn more about me or get in touch if needed. Earlier, I used to redirect visitors to my work portfolio site at hiabhaykulkarni.com, but now my goal is to keep this blog simple and personal. I only link to external sites when necessary. This blog has become more like a personal diary where I can also practice and improve my writing skills.

That’s it for this update. See you in the next post! Bye!
